Connecting with Mindfulness
We established Connecting with Mindfulness in 2015 as a way to establish and develop more mindful communities, supporting individuals young and old to be more able to step out of automatic pilot mode and become more present moment focused.
This present moment focus enables us to:
be less engulfed and controlled by spiralling thoughts,
respond more mindfully rather than habitually reacting,
notice out patterns and habits that serve us well and those that don't,
manage difficulties and stress more effectively,
savour and enjoy the pleasant moments in our lives,
We adhere to the Good Practice Guidelines and relevant legislation in terms of service delivery.
We are listed on the UK Mindfulness Network for recognised practitioners.
In April 2016 we organised a Mindful Parenting and Community Conference in Bristol, raising awareness of the benefits of Mindful Parenting for families, schools and wider community.
Since 2016 have successfully won grants (Awards for All and Oxford Mindfulness Centre) to deliver Mindfulness for Parents Courses to vulnerable parents who would not be able to access it normally. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 we presented our findings at Bangor University and the Oxford Mindfulness Centre.
